How to Apply for Employment
Interested in working at The Circle School? Here’s what to do…
- Learn about The Circle School. Start with our free information packet and the material available on this website. Consider purchasing additional materials, such as When Kids Rule the School to deepen your understanding of the school.
- Check https://www.circleschool.org/contact/employment for information about current and anticipated openings.
- Like what you’ve read? Think you could contribute? Submit the following materials to hiring@circleschool.org:
- Completed application form
- Resume
- Letter of interest addressing at least the following specifics:
- How you became interested in the school, what reading you’ve done about The Circle School and other democratic schools, and why you’re interested in pursuing a relationship with the school.
- Any previous experience you have working with children and teens.
- Any previous experience you have with business or nonprofit administration.
- Your own interests, passions, and skills.
We are eager to talk to folks interested in The Circle School’s style of education, but please note that we review applications only from individuals who demonstrate familiarity with the school, and we will generally not respond to applications that don’t specifically address the questions outlined above. A standard cover letter is likely not sufficient.
We try to respond to all complete applications within two weeks of receipt.
NOTE: Because hiring decisions at The Circle School are made democratically by students and staff together, your employment application and all materials and information you submit may be circulated widely in the school community.
